Wick Fisher White Celebrates 125 Years: Built on Legacy. Engineering with Purpose.

Philadelphia, PA — January 9, 2026 —

Wick Fisher White, a Philadelphia-based MEP/FP engineering and building commissioning firm, proudly celebrates its 125th anniversary in 2026—marking a legacy of engineering excellence and enduring client partnerships. The milestone coincides with the nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026, an especially meaningful moment for a firm that has grown with Philadelphia, the birthplace of American independence. For more than a century, Wick Fisher White has partnered with building owners, architects, institutions, and project teams to deliver efficient, effective, and dependable building systems that support long-term performance.

“Reaching 125 years is a milestone we’re proud of—not just because of our history, but because of what it represents,” said Tony DiLeonardo. “It reflects the people who have shaped this firm across generations and the clients who have trusted us with their engineering needs. Our reputation has been built on a commitment to detailed design—a standard instilled by the leaders who came before us and carried forward today. We’re honored to serve clients nationwide from a single office, continuing the staying power and consistency that have defined our firm for generations.”

A Legacy That Has Withstood the Test of Time

From historic landmarks and cultural institutions to healthcare, education, mission-critical and data center environments, life science facilities, retail destinations, and commercial developments, Wick Fisher White’s work reflects a commitment to thoughtful engineering, strong coordination, and results that stand the test of time.

Over 125 years, Wick Fisher White has navigated economic shifts, changing building standards, and major advancements in building technology. Through it all, the firm has remained resilient and forward-thinking—guided not by trends, but by consistent service, technical integrity, and a focus on high-quality engineering.

Originally founded by Isaac Hathaway Francis, a Cornell University mechanical engineering graduate, the firm began as I.H. Francis and grew through successive chapters including Moody & Hutchison, Moody & Hutchison Golz & Wick, Golz & Wick, Golz Wick & Fisher, and Wick & Fisher. From the outset, Francis worked closely with leading architects of the time—including Paul Philippe Cret, Zantzinger and Borie, and Tilden & Pepper—establishing collaborative approach that continues to define the firm’s work. Since becoming Wick Fisher White in 1984, the firm has continued to build on that legacy—strengthening its expertise, expanding into new sectors and services, and maintaining the trusted relationships that have shaped its success across generations.

While rooted in Philadelphia, Wick Fisher White now serves clients nationally, with projects spanning coast to coast. The firm is licensed across the United States, enabling its teams to support work across diverse markets while upholding the same standards of engineering integrity, coordination, and service.

Philly Grit, Serious Work, Strong Culture

As a Philadelphia-based firm, Wick Fisher White shares the grit and resilience that define the city itself. The firm takes its work seriously—recognizing that engineering decisions affect people, buildings, and communities—while fostering a culture built on collaboration, pride in the craft, and genuine camaraderie.

The firm’s 125th anniversary theme reflects both its history and its continued focus on what comes next.

For over a century, Wick Fisher White helped shape the built environment through engineering excellence, steady leadership, and a team committed to doing the work right. By continuing to invest in its people and its clients, Wick Fisher White is well positioned to support the buildings and institutions that shape communities—designed for today and prepared for the future.
