Wick Fisher White provided engineering services for the Millville Board of Education to help with the renovation and design of a new early childhood center. This project involved the conversion of an existing two story office building to an early childhood center. Included in the project was 62,000 sf of renovations and a 21,000 sf addition with provisions for another 8,000 sf in the future. The entire building was gutted, including the roof, steel, and concrete.

The project included the design of 25 classrooms with dedicated toilet facilities, 4 gross motor skills rooms, a parent meeting room/ cafeteria, a kitchen, some administrative space such as offices, nurse’s office, a meeting room, and conference rooms, some mechanical space, and an elevator. The design services provided by our team were a water source heat pump system, plumbing, fire protection sprinklers, lighting, power, the fire alarm, and tele/data.
