Wick Fisher White partnered with the Eataly team to transform a section of the King of Prussia Mall into a vibrant 22,000-square-foot Italian marketplace and restaurant. The redevelopment involved demolition and modification of several existing tenants and a mall entrance to accommodate the new Eataly space, with the goal of enhancing foot traffic and improving the customer experience at this end of the mall.
Wick Fisher White provided HVAC rooftop equipment, kitchen fans, makeup air units, and electrical distribution systems, coordinating closely with Eataly’s engineers and civil engineers to ensure precise sizing and integration of all utility connections and provisions. A key challenge was sourcing the appropriate power supply for Eataly’s substantial electrical loads, which was resolved by intercepting the 32kV loop and installing a new transformer dedicated to the tenant.
The project required careful integration of modern mechanical and electrical systems within the existing mall infrastructure, highlighting the importance of meticulous planning and coordination among all stakeholders. The redevelopment significantly boosted foot traffic in the area, benefiting nearby businesses and creating a more engaging environment for shoppers.
The Wick Fisher White project team contributed to this significant addition to the King of Prussia Mall, reflecting strong collaboration that delivered a unique and dynamic destination.
