Senior mechanical project engineer
Wick Fisher White is searching for a senior project engineer to design mechanical building systems. The ideal candidate would have 12+/- years of experience and be responsible for senior-level engineering production and engineering guidance for each trade in their field of expertise.
Responsibilities:
Have knowledge of work in mission-critical, healthcare, corporate interiors, retail, and industrial facility designs.
Perform and be responsible for all aspects of design on projects.
Mentor and delegate work to other engineers and designers, and oversee their production and design.
Ensure adherence to company design standards.
Develop high-level concept engineering design on projects.
Develop engineering designs in both AutoCAD and REVIT.
Develop and write specifications in Masterspec and drawing format.
Perform detailed field surveys and site visits to project sites.
Advise project managers on technical aspects of projects.
Coordinate and advise the internal team, clients, and sub-consultants, which will include attendance at project meetings, site visits during construction, etc.
Perform HVAC systems studies and building evaluations.
Perform Quality Assurance/Quality Compliance (QA/QC) review of the designs of others to maintain a high level of deliverable quality.
Perform construction administration support, including site visits, attendance at meetings, etc.
Investigate and resolve technical problems and concerns on projects.
Participate in steering committees for technical topics.
Investigate and resolve technical problems and concerns on projects, and support other engineering staff with the same.
Consider opportunities for improvement and present ideas to the department director.
PE required.
